Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in person sessions?

No. At the moment I only offer sessions remotely via video call on Skype or other pre-agreed video call technology.

Skype sessions enable us to connect in the comfort and convenience of your own home or venue of your choosing and provide flexibility to fit into your own schedule. You also save time and energy by cutting out travel which can be used for rest, integration and reflection post-session.

Online sessions also make it possible for you to work with me if you live outside of Melbourne and Australia. However, unfortunately due to insurance limitations I am currently unable to support residents of the USA and its protectorates.

I don’t use Skype so does that mean I can’t work with you?

My preferred video calling technology is Skype. It is free to download and use for Skype to Skype calls. If you are unable to download Skype and create an account and need to use a different platform, please email me before booking to let me know what your preferred platform is and I’ll let you know if we can meet that way. Alternatives maybe WhatsApp or FaceTime.

I don’t live in Melbourne, can I work with you?

The advantage of holding sessions via video call is that you don’t have to be in the same city as me to work with me. You can work with me from wherever you are in the world, the exception being the USA and its protectorates - sorry my USA friends, all Professional Indemnity Insurance in Australia excludes you.

How many sessions will I need?

I wish there was an answer to this question but there’s not. It really is an unknown variable. Every person’s process and healing journey is unique. Sometimes a specific issue can be resolved in 1 to 2 sessions but usually our challenges have many layers and threads and can take a lot longer. Some people start counselling for a specific issue thinking it will be a few months and then discover there is more they want to explore and unfold. Ultimately you are in control of what you want to explore, how deep you want to go and when you are ready to stop.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my session?

Time is one of our most valuable resources. When you make an appointment with me, I honour your time commitment and ask that you honour mine as well.

If you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. As I only offer a limited number of sessions every week, this may give someone else in need of a session the opportunity to take your time slot.

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice, then you will incur the full session fee. You can cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your appointment by using the links in your Accuity Scheduling booking confirmation email or alternatively emailing me.

When you make a booking, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.

What if I’m running late for a session?

If you are running late for an appointment, please send me a message via Skype or email. I will wait for 15 minutes but if you don’t turn up within that time, then I will assume that you are not coming, the appointment is cancelled and the standard cancellation policy and fees will apply. If you are

If you are running late for a session, then that time will be deducted from your session time. E.g. if you are running late by 15 minutes, then your session will run for 45 minutes instead of 60 minutes.

Do you work with children or teenagers?

No. I only work with adults aged 18 years and over.
